About the Employment Services Centre
The Employment Services Centre (CSEPR) serves job seekers, workers, entrepreneurs and employers in the greater Prescott and Russell region in Ontario. Our non-profit organization was incorporated in 1983. To better serve our clientele, we operate three branches, including the head office in Hawkesbury and offices in Rockland and Embrun.
The Centre’s primary funder is the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development for the delivery of services under the Employment Ontario Program. The CSEPR also supports clients of other service providers, namely the Ontario Works Program administered by the regional government; the Ontario Disability Support Program; Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB); school boards and Groupe Convex. In addition, we offer services tailored to the special needs of newcomers through funding from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and collaboration with the Economic and Social Council of Ottawa-Carleton (ESCOC).
The Centre provides its various clienteles with many services: employment counselling; psychometric testing; assessment and identification of training and development needs; résumé writing; work placement and on-the-job training; funding for integration-related accessories and workplace accommodations; scholarships; group workshops; visit of businesses; work experience and virtual career exploration activities.
As for employers and entrepreneurs, we help them in various ways. For example, we provide them with support in workforce recruitment; referral of candidates; online job posting; access to offices and interview rooms; coordination of training activities for regular staff or new hires; training or hiring grants and more. In addition, the Centre has its own employment agency: Contak, Staffing Solutions. Contak assists employers with custom support for international recruitment as well as permanent staffing.
On an annual basis, the Centre posts close to 3,000 job offers and welcomes nearly 13,000 clients in its offices.

In this perspective, the Employment Services Centre adopted an environmental policy to promote environmentally friendly practices among our employees. Therefore, as much as possible, we will try to use green, clean and renewable energy for our operations. However, as this may not always be possible, we have developed several strategies to reduce our energy consumption.
