Youth Programs

The youth programs aim to support young individuals in their integration to the job market and to equip them for a successful career in Prescott and Russell or elsewhere. The programs are funded by the Government of Ontario and delivered by the Employment Services Centre.

Programme d'accès à l'emploi pour les jeunes

This program is for youth aged from 15 to 29 and aims at helping them gain experience and knowledge that will increase their employability skills.

The participants will receive professional services from counsellors specialized in youth programs. The purpose is to:

  • Increase youth knowledge in career options and job market.
  • Promote participation to workshops and paid work activities (at the current minimum hourly rate in Ontario).
  • Obtain paid on-the-job training through youth-employer matching.

Job Youth Connection: Summer Program

This program is for high school students aged 15 to 18 looking for a full-time summer job or part-time employment after school hours.

Through group workshops, the student will receive professional services from counsellors specialized in youth programs. The objective of the program is to ease the transition of students from school to the job market by presenting them with long-term training options and summer employment in line with their career objectives and employability.
