new workshop series available to the prescott-russell poupulation

Hawkesbury, August 28, 2017– The Employment Services Center (CSEPR) is proud to announce a new series of workshops made available to the population of Prescott-Russell and surrounding areas. This series includes 10 workshops on various topics to be held both in French and in English from September to November. All themes proposed aim at better informing and preparing participants in regards to different employment aspects.

“For this second workshop series, we opted to call upon specialists on different subjects, in addition to using the skills of our employment counsellors to give these sessions,” said André Roy, Executive Director for the CSEPR. “Our choices include a specialist who will supply participants with precious information on how to apply to government jobs and maximize chances of being screened in, or company visits that will allow participants to discover local employers and the types of jobs they offer along with allowing a first contact with their hiring managers. First aid and cardio pulmonary resuscitation certification will also be offered at the Centre to facilitate access to those who require such training for their trades. As for our employment counsellors, they will dispense workshops on looking for work after 50 years old as well as on how to overcome barriers that can block one’s career advancement. These are current subjects to support participants so they can continue to move forward on their career paths.” added Mr. Roy. “Indeed, an interesting series of events orchestrated by the Centre with the sole objective of helping our community. We certainly hope that the population will once again respond favourably and attend these events in large numbers as they are organized for them and aim to better equip them for their current or future job,” concluded Mr. Roy.

For more information, one can refer to individual data sheets available for each workshop on the Centre’s website in the calendar of activities section. All workshops are free with the exception of the RCR certification for which participants must pay registration fees since this is a recognized training valid for 3 years. Space is limited and registration to each event is mandatory and can be made directly online (csepr.ca), by calling 1.800.668.5950 or 613.446.4189 or in person at the Centre.
