CSEPR RENEWS ITS SPONSORSHIP OF THE EMERITUS AWARD WITHIN THE Celebration OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2015
Hawkesbury, February 19th, 2015 – The Employment Services Centre enthusiastically announced that it has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation for its prestigious Celebration of Excellence Awards 2015. This contest aims at honoring the quality of local companies for their contribution to the regional economy. Under the theme “Great Gatsby”, the awards for this 12th edition will be presented during a prestigious evening held Saturday, October 24th, 2015 at the Embrun Recreational Centre. During this evening, the CSEPR will again proudly present the Emeritus Award to the winner chosen by the Organizing Committee. This prize spotlights the scope of a person’s entire career with emphasis on their impassioned contribution to Russell County.
“This sponsorship is a must for the Centre,” said André Roy, Executive Director of CSEPR. “It’s our way of supporting the excellence of our local businesses and to highlight the importance they have for our economy by ensuring, among others, jobs to our workers. As for the award, it’s a strategic choice since it aims at identifying passionate entrepreneurs in our region and then reward one of them,” added Mr. Roy. “Without the presence of such individuals, our region wouldn’t benefit from its economic growth which in turn ensures the sustainability of our towns and villages.”
Again this year, the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation will present some fifteen awards to local businesses and individuals who stood out throughout our region. The same categories are available, along with a new one aimed at recognizing a young entrepreneur of 18 to 35 years old who will not only have contributed to the success of company but also to the welfare of our community through volunteer work. Nominations are presently opened and can be submitted by the general public and local business groups up until April 3rd, 2015. Registration forms can be found on the gala’s website (www.galaexcellence.com).
