650 positions available at the CSEPR Job Fair
Hawkesbury, February 27th, 2015 – The 4th edition of the CSEPR Job Fair is almost here, and it’s with great enthusiasm that the Employment Services Center announced today that employers at the Fair will have over 650 positions available in the region for job seekers to grab! All types of positions will be offered: full-time, part-time, temporary, seasonal and even student jobs.
“It’s always interesting to notice that each year, the number of positions available at our Job Fair increases,” said André Roy, Executive Director at the Employment Services Centre. “In fact, this year we have more positions than last year when we concluded the fair, and we are still awaiting employer information pertaining to additional positions offered. This certainly indicates that our region has increasing labor needs, which reflects positively on our economy. But, we also need to consider that our Job Developers concentrate on obtaining employers from different industries to register at our events, allowing for diversified positions to be available,” added Mr. Roy. “The CSEPR Job Fair is a MUST for any Job Seeker or anyone who wants a better job. It’s a unique opportunity given to them to meet with local employers who are hiring and to leave a positive impression with recruiters present,” concluded Mr. Roy.
Industries represented at the CSEPR Job Fair this year include, among others, government, health care, education, industrial, construction and agriculture. As for positions available, they are diversified and include recruiting of Police Officers, Nurses, Personal Support Workers, Specialized Educators and Teacher Assistants. On the professional level, positions such as Sales Representatives, Controller and Marketing Specialist are present, as well as Office Clerks and Secretaries. Obviously, specialized trades are also needed with the search for Tinsmiths, Welders, Estimators, Technicians, Carpenters, Arborists and Mechanics. Broader positions include Laborers, Maneuvers, General Workers, Machine Operators, Clerks and Attendants, along with Truck and Bus Drivers.
All jobs offered at the fair can be seen on the employer cards located on the fair’s website at csepr.ca/foire-emploi. Simply click on the employer logo to see a brief description of the company including the positions offered. Job seekers are invited to regularly visit the site since positions are added as they are confirmed to the Centre by employers.
A special invitation is sent out to those who have an interest towards starting or buying a business to attend the free seminar given by BDO at 10 AM on the day of the fair. Registration is mandatory and can be done directly online through the Job Fair website.
These events will be held Saturday, March 14tt at the River Rock Inn in Rockland and Saturday, March 21st at École Secondaire Catholique Régionale de Hawkesbury (ÉSCRH) in Hawkesbury from 9 AM to 3 PM. All visitors are admitted free of charge to both events. See you there!
Employment Services Centre (CSEPR) is a not-for-profit corporation with 3 offices serving the vast region of Prescott-Russell. Sole organisation dispensing all employment services for the region, it is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities for the Employment Ontario program, as well as the Ministry of Community and Social Services for the Ontario Disability Support Program, and gets funding for the Ontario Works program from the United Counties of Prescott-Russell as well. The Centre aims to accompany and support all types of clienteles in search of work or reintegrating the workforce, as well as supporting regional employers with their staffing needs.
