830 visitors at the recent csepr job fair, almost 800 postings available

HAWKESBURY - The employment Services Centre (CSEPR) says that more than 830 visitors attended its fifth annual job fair recently.

In all, there were 783 positions available for job seekers during this one-day event.

"As the years go by, the CSEPR Job Fair continues to gain in popularity both among job seekers and employers who take part in it. It's a great source of pride for us and it's also our motivation to always perform better," said André Roy, Executive Director for the Employment Services Centre in a statement. "The Centre's team is composed of very dynamic professionals who take their customers' success to heart. This passion is reflected year after year at the Job Fair, and it's a comment we get from our community as well."

This year, the CSEPR innovated with a conference given to employer-exhibitors the morning of the event. The theme of the conference was "Breaking Beliefs" and aimed at raising recruiters' awareness towards generational differences and the impact it has on how to work in a multi-generational worplace. This presentation aimed at opening minds towards potential candidates met at the event. The conference was one element of the fair which was really appreciated by recruiters.

The organizing committee will be evaluating the results and the comments received at the Job Fair, all with the aim of improving future events.
